Monterey deed filings show wide price gap, heavy bank involvement in August-September transfers
Monterey recorded 14 property transfers between Aug. 14 and Sept. 12, but only four deeds disclosed a sale price, ranging from $125,000 to $1,286,000, with a median of $362,500 among those four. The period's top disclosed sale was 104 Fairview Rd at $1,286,000, sold by Kevin S. Atteson and Holly K. Kulka to Fairview CAL LLC on Aug. 31. Main Road saw four separate transfers, the most of any street. A bank was buyer or seller in six of the 14 deeds, and four transfers appeared to move property within the same family or into trust. With most prices undisclosed, the data does not support a clear read on overall market direction.
