Monterey home sale hits $2.2 million as conservation land deals mark September

Monterey recorded 12 property deeds between Aug. 28 and Sept. 26. Of those, five carry sale prices so far, ranging from $250,000 to $2,222,500, with a median of $675,000; the other seven prices are expected to post to the registry within about a week. The month's top sale was 169 Mount Hunger Road at $2,222,500. Monterey Town Conservation was party to three of the twelve deeds, both buying and selling land. Sylvan Road and Beartown Mountain Road each saw two recorded transactions. With more than half the period's prices still pending, the overall market tone cannot yet be fully assessed from this data.
