Monterey Sees 15 Property Transfers as Most Sale Prices Go Undisclosed

Monterey recorded 15 property deed transfers between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only two disclosed a sale price: $575,000 for 99 Beartown Mountain Road and $125,000 for 55 Main Road, putting the reported median at $350,000. Main Road was the period's busiest street with four recorded transfers. Five of the 15 deeds moved property within the same family or into a trust, and banks NBT Bank NA and Berkshire Bank appeared as sellers on five others. With just 13% of transfers disclosing price, the data offers a limited read on where Monterey's market stands this period.
